The Fun Factory Stronic Drei is perhaps one of the coolest items I’ve come across since I’ve started reviewing sex toys. If you haven’t heard, the Stronic Drei is a part of Fun Factory’s signature toys called “pulsators.”
But what the fuck is a pulsator, you might ask? Well a pulsator is a sex toy (duh) that pulsates instead of vibrates. Instead of vibrating, the magnets inside a pulsator move back and forth, enabling the toy to perform thrusting motions.
Pretty fucking cool, am I right?
As cool as this toy is, I have to say that I kind of regret buying it. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but at the same time I wish I had picked out something else. I’ll explain why in a little bit.

The Fun Factory Stronic Drei comes with its designated USB cable and a set of instructions.
How It Works
The Fun Factory Stronic Drei is a unique toy due to its concept. So of course it’s going to be unique in how it operates as well.
To turn the Stronic Drei on, press and hold the Fun Factory button for a few seconds. The toy will pulsate to life at the lowest speed.
If you look, you’ll notice that there is a plus and a minus button on the handle. Those buttons will obviously be the ones responsible for going through the settings as well as activating the lock function.
As I said before, the Stronic Drei will start at the lowest speed. If you press the minus button, you will go through two patterns. If you press the plus button back up, you will go back through the four speeds and then into the other pulsation patterns.
To activate the locking function, press the Fun Factory button and the minus button simultaneously. Once you’ve done that, the toy shouldn’t be able to turn on no matter which buttons you press.
To deactivate the locking function, hold down the red Fun Factory button and the plus button simultaneously. You should be able to use your toy again.
The Fun Factory Stronic Drei is USB rechargeable. You connect the charger to the magnets at the base of the toy.
- The rich turquoise finish is absolutely gorgeous
- The ridges in the shaft give the Stronic Drei a very unique appearance; kinda reminds me of stripes for some reason
- The silicone is fairly smooth, yet very rigid with a semi-flexible tip
- Although the controls look daunting at first, they should be easy to figure out and use
- The shaft has an upward curve, making it good for g-spot/p-spot stimulation
- Although I love the fact that it’s rechargeable, I fucking hate the magnets; the slightest movement can knock the magnets off the bottom of the toy where you’re supposed to connect the cable to
- The silicone has a lot of drag
- Its overall lack of flexibility may be off-putting to some people
- Lint and other particles can easily get stuck to the silicone shaft
The design adds to uniqueness of the Stronic Drei. Whenever I look at it, the word “exotic” comes to mind. It’s beautiful to look at and it’s fairly easy for me to use. Although it’s not a vibrator, the controls are pretty much like most vibrators on the market.
Now this is where things DEFINITELY get interesting.
And by “interesting,” I mean “very difficult for me to write down exactly how the fuck it works.” But I’ll do my best regardless. If you can’t understand what the fuck I’m typing out, hopefully the video I post will clear up any confusion.
S-3: The third setting below the default setting (meaning you turn the toy on and then press the minus button three times). This is perhaps the slowest galloping pattern. It’ll go for a second, stop for a few seconds, and then flutter on again.
S-2: The second setting below the default setting (meaning you turn the toy on then press the minus button two times). This feels like a very slow, steady gallop.
S-1: The first setting below the default setting (meaning you turn the toy on and press the minus button once). It feels like a quicker gallop.
S1: The default setting when you first turn on the Stronic Drei. The toy slowly and rhythmically thrusts back and forth.
S2: The second lowest pulse. The speed of the pulsations increases by a tiny bit and start to shake my entire arm.
S3: Here we’re going a bit faster. The Stronic Drei really feels like it’s hammering away at the air, causing the flesh on my arm to jiggle.
S4: The fastest pulse. This is when the Stronic Drei starts to feel like a miniature jackhammer of some sort. Just watching the shaft move makes the ridges look like waves are crashing down. Or something like that. Maybe it’s just me.
S5: Here you get this low rumble that gradually increases until the entire toy shakes. The toy shakes frantically. The intensity then gradually decreases.
S6: There’s a few tiny pulses that cause the toy to barely move. But the pulses gradually increase from that to a quick gallop to full on jackhammering thrusts.
S7: A couple of gallops, followed by a jackhammer, then back to the gallops again.
Now, almost everywhere says that the Stronic Drei has ten settings. However, I’m only able to count five. Either I’m an idiot and am missing a setting or something got mixed up.
(Edit: After going over this numerous times, I was able to count ten total settings. It turns out that S-1 and S-2 are just the two lower speeds below the default one. So those two plus the four others makes six speeds and four patterns. Apparently I have lost the ability to count, oops!)
Moving on: if you want to go back to a particular setting, you have to use the minus button to scroll through the rest of them. Whenever you turn off the Fun Factory Stronic Drei and turn it back on, you’ll start right at S1.
In case you want more clarification on the settings, here’s the video:
- The thrusting motion feels really nice for my vaginal opening
- I like the way that the curved shaft seems to fit my body
- The shaft is also thick enough to give me a “full” sensation
- When I use this toy in conjunction with my We-Vibe Tango, foot twitching orgasms commence!
- The ridges of the shaft kinda cling onto my vaginal walls, which can make insertion a bit annoying; this is remedied with the use of lube
- When using the Stronic Drei by itself, it doesn’t do much for me; it just feels like it’s twitching further down in my vagina
- As I said in “Design”, the flared base is too far away from my clit, and the shaft isn’t nearly flexible enough to where I can bend it however I need it to; getting clitoral stimulation requires the employment of a separate bullet, which can feel awkward holding with my left hand
When I said this is where shit gets really interesting, I meant that as in “this is where I start to regret choosing this particular model.”
I say this because I KNOW that I prefer dual-stimulation. And I just find that for something that is this expensive that it would just have been better to get something that I could’ve enjoyed by itself.
That’s not to say that I don’t enjoy it at all, though. It’s pretty awesome. But it’s nothing unless I’m using the We-Vibe Tango.
Does that mean that the Stronic Drei and the We-Vibe Tango are soul-mates?!
(Please ignore that.)
The Stronic Drei is definitely one of the coolest toys I’ve ever had so far.
I’ve had toys that thrust, but nothing like this before. I can definitely see why it costs so much. But at the same time, this just put a bit more pressure on me to be as thorough/careful as possible when reviewing this item. And based on my experiences with it, I definitely enjoy it so far.
I still wish I had gone for the Bi-Stronic Fusion.
I feel like because I cannot come from internal stimulation ninety-nine percent of the time that I cannot fully enjoy the Stronic Drei. If I had gone for the Bi-Stronic Fusion, I would’ve definitely been able to enjoy it as an individual product. So if you’re someone that can come via internal stimulation, then you’ll probably love the Fun Factory Stronic Drei. However, if you’re like me, and prefer external AND internal stimulation, I’d suggest the Bi-Stronic Fusion.
I’d like to thank the people at Castle Megastore for sending me the Fun Factory Stronic Drei. I received this item free of charge in exchange for my honest review.
