Even though I haven’t tried the original Mystic Wand, the Mystic Rechargeable Wand sounded very promising to my ears (and genitals). So how did it fare?
To be blunt: I like it. The Mystic Rechargeable Wand by Vibratex has a lot of good things going for it. At the same time, I don’t think it’ll be my go-to vibrator. Which is kind of a shame, considering the price tag on it.
But let’s not focus on that right now.

The Mystic Rechargeable Wand was kindly sent to me by the awesome people at Good Vibrations. I received this toy free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.
I’m such a good reviewer that I completely forgot what the box it came in looked like. (Psst: that was sarcasm, in case you couldn’t tell.) But Mr. Andy was kind enough to send me some pins and lube samples. Whooo, who doesn’t love free stuff?! Aside from that, the Mystic Rechargeable Wand came with a USB charging block and cord.
Before I get into telling you what I liked and disliked about the Mystic Rechargeable Wand, I’m just going to go over some of the essential information first.
How It Works
When I first saw the Mystic Rechargeable Wand, a few questions ran through my mind.
“Why the fuck does it have this curve? And what the fuck are there all these buttons doing all over the handle? Shouldn’t there just be one, two, or three buttons at most to operate a vibrator?”
I quickly figured out that the curved shape is to make to wand easier to hold.
But then there was the question of the buttons.
Why are there so many function buttons? Well the reason they’re put there is actually pretty genius: they make it so that you can easily change the setting no matter what angle you find yourself in at the moment.
Whether you’re on your back, your stomach, by yourself, or with a partner, operating the Mystic Rechargeable Wand should be a breeze because a function button will always be there for you to operate.
There is one universal on/off switch which can be found higher up on bottom-side of the handle. All you need to do is press that button once and a blue light will turn on.
The Mystic Rechargeable Wand will start off at the lowest speed setting. To navigate through each speed, press one of the many function buttons. Each click will take you to the next setting. If you want to go back to a particular setting, you have to scroll through the rest of the settings until you find the one that you’re looking for.
According to the little manual I received, the toy should last you anywhere from forty to ninety-minutes. The amount of time it takes for the battery to run out of power depends on which setting you use.
To charge the toy, look for the button at the very tip of the shaft.
You then take the charging cable and stick it in through that hole. When you’ve plugged the charger in, a purple light will glow. Total charge-time takes about two to three-hours. When the Mystic Rechargeable Wand is done charging, the purple light will turn off.
S1: The lowest intensity.
S2: The middle speed/intensity.
S3: The highest speed/intensity.
S4: A series of pulses.
S5: A couple of pulses, then a buzz that lasts for a few seconds.
S6: This setting starts out very low, then escalates to a higher intensity.
When you press the function button again, the toy goes back to the very first setting. The video I posted above should hopefully be better at explaining the settings than my stunted vocabulary.
- I looooveeee the velvety soft and smooth feel of the material
- I absolutely love how small and light it is compared to most (if not all) wands I’ve used in the past
- The head is just the right size to provide more direct stimulation to my clit
- The head of the wand is also very flexible, which allows me to adjust it so it’ll reach those sweet-spots
- The idea of putting function buttons all over the toy is really genius and yet so simple that I’m surprised more companies haven’t taken this approach
- The curve of the wand is a little awkward at times, especially considering the fact that I mostly masturbate while lying on my back
- This is pretty rumbly, which is something that I prefer over a lot of buzzy vibes on the market
- As I believe I said before, the smaller head provides more direct clit stimulation, which is always a win in my book
- Perhaps I’ve been spoiled by other toys (especially the We-Vibe Tango), but I just feel that the Mystic Rechargeable Wand could’ve used a little bit more power; I think having four speeds/intensities would’ve be awesome as opposed to just three
- To me it just seemed that the patterns didn’t have a lot of power; the first three speeds seemed pretty rumbly, but that rumbly-ness seemed lost once I moved on up to the other settings, which was weird
Overall OpinionI have to say that the Mystic Rechargeable Wand is a pretty good toy. However, I don’t think it’s the best I’ve ever had.
Like I said, perhaps I’ve just set a really high standard after trying other amazing toys in the past.
Don’t get me wrong. I love the fact that it’s small, light, and just well-designed in general. But I honestly think that this wand could’ve used just a little more power. I just didn’t get enough out of the third setting, which is the setting that I usually go for with vibrators that have those standard first three settings.
This is leaves me to bring up another point: I think that this toy is a bit overpriced.
Yes, it’s rechargeable, but there are much more powerful rechargeable sex toys that don’t cost almost one-hundred bucks. So I feel a little confused as to why the price tag is a bit high.
Maybe it’s just because of how Vibratex is famous for the Hitachi, and therefore are kind of a household name with sex toys (or something)?
Regardless of the reason, I don’t think I would spend that much money for a toy that I like but don’t absolutely love.
With that being said, if you’re someone who is a fan of the original Mystic Wand, then perhaps you’ll like this. I never tried the original, so I can’t say how it compares, but I have a feeling the rechargeable one is very similar to the original. If you’re expecting something as powerful as, let’s say, the We-Vibe Tango, then you will probably be disappointed.
I think this would be a good toy if you’re looking for something that’s small enough to take with you on vacation or if you have some kind of arthritic issues that make it difficult for hold the bigger, heftier wand massagers.
Special thanks goes to the people at Good Vibrations. I received this product from them free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.
